  • Job Title: MedSurg Float Pool RN - 12 HR DAYS
  • Location: Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, GA
  • Job Description: Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (OPEN TO 8 or 17 WEEKS)
  • Guaranteed hours: 48 hours per week - hours not guaranteed week of orientation
  • Shift Requirements: 0645-1915 EST
  • Float Requirements: Yes, to all acute care and cardio
  • Weekend requirements: Rotate every other
  • Holidays: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
  • On call/Call Back: is rare
  • Break: 30 minutes
  • EMR: Meditech Expanse: experience preferred but not required
  • Education: Associates required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum experience: two solid years on a MS unit, travel preferred
  • Patient ratios: Ratios 1:6 for both days and nights

          • Mid-shift floats are uncommon (emergent needs only)
          • Nurse Aides- Yes, CNA's 1:8, generally 1:10, do get as sitters
          • Scrub requirement/Uniform: Caribbean blue or white
