Job Description
Danfoss Commercial Compressors (CC), Danfoss Turbocor Global Supply
Chain, is seeking a Cost Down Project Manager to join our
cross-functional teams. You will initiate projects from idea
generation to final implementation of sourcing strategies within
the Turbocor Business. We seek a professional with a proven track
record in sourcing and project management, demonstrating continuous
improvements in project execution and cross-functional teamwork
within an international environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a Cost Down Project Manager, you will be pivotal in organizing,
leading, and motivating your project teams. Your responsibilities
include:
--- Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Analyze current processes,
materials, and systems to identify areas where costs can be reduced
without compromising quality.
--- Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and execute cost
reduction strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with
organizational goals.
--- Project Management: Lead and manage cost reduction projects
from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and
adherence to budget.
--- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams,
including procurement, engineering, finance, and operations, to
implement cost-saving measures.
--- Monitor Progress: Track and report on the progress of cost
reduction initiatives, providing regular updates to senior
management.
--- Vendor Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to
secure better pricing and terms.
--- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with cost
reduction initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
--- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous
improvement by regularly reviewing and refining cost reduction
processes.
Background & Skills
Education and/or Experience
o Degree in business, technology, project management, or other
related field combined with at least 5-7 years of experience in
project management, engineering, procurement, operations, or
technology
o Sourcing or procurement experience in the field of Automotive,
Medical, or Industrial products is a must (electrical components
experience is a plus)
o Strong negotiation skills
o Ability to work with international teams in a global matrix
organization
The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
--- Strong facilitation skills, fostering teamwork and a
cross-functional mindset, ideally with Agile/Scrum
methodologies
--- Confidence in communicating with customers, management, and
stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and key deliverables.
--- Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and SAP
--- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
--- CPM/CSCP/CPSM/PMI is a plus
